ACHIEVEMENTS:

Prof. Yi-Han Chen has been engaged in the clinical practice and basic research of cardiovascular diseases. He is specialized in clinical diagnosis and therapy of cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. In his lab, his team has taken great efforts to study the mechanisms for the development and progression of cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure. Under Prof. Chen, his group has identified the novel molecular and electrophysiological bases for atrial fibrillation and ventricular fibrillation. Moreover, his team has discovered a new form of long QT syndrome and uncovered the related mechanism. In the study of cardiac hypertrophy and failure, they elucidated novel mechanisms and verified the important regulatory effects of intracellular logistics. They also revealed that β2-adrenoceptors (β2-ARs) selectively increase intracellular oxygen availability through the β2-ARGieNOS signalling pathway.

In the past years, his team has published more than 100 papers in the journals such as Science, Am J Hum Genet, Annu Rev Genomics Hum Genet and J Physiol. These scientific discoveries have been cited by textbooks, monographs and international clinical practice guidelines. Some inherited arrhythmogenic diseases are classified on the basis of these findings. The scientific discovery in atrial fibrillation has ever been honored as one of the annual breakthroughs in the international cardiac electrophysiology and entitled the annual top 10 major scientific advances in the universities of China.

基本情况:

陈义汉,男,汉族,江苏射阳人,196410月出生。1996年毕业于上海交通大学医学院,获得内科学(心血管病)博士学位。陈义汉是同济大学教授、主任医师、博士生导师。他是国家杰出青年科学基金获得者、教育部长江学者特聘教授、国家973计划项目首席科学家、国家创新研究群体负责人和教育部心律失常重点实验室(同济大学)主任。陈义汉教授长期从事心血管疾病临床工作和基础研究,临床特长为心律失常和心力衰竭的诊断和治疗,研究方向为心律失常和心力衰竭的发生机制和干预。在心律失常和心力衰竭研究领域取得了一些重要的科学发现。他承担着五年制、七年制、八年制临床医学生和研究生的理论课程,课程包括内科学、临床医学进展、医学分子遗传学、遗传学、医学遗传学、人类基因组计划、遗传病学和生物信息学等。作为导师,直接培养出和正在培养的研究生(硕士生和博士生)和博士后总数达50多名。多名博士生被派往哈佛大学、耶鲁大学和霍普金斯大学等世界著名学府联合培养。

主要工作成就:

陈义汉教授长期从事心血管疾病临床工作和基础研究,临床特长为心律失常和心力衰竭的诊断和治疗,研究方向为心律失常和心力衰竭的发生机制和干预。在心律失常和心力衰竭研究领域取得了一些重要的科学发现。

他带领团队揭示了心房颤动的分子和电生理学基础,确立心房颤动的非通道机制;发现新型人类致命性心律失常,提出人类致命性心律失常新机制;发现心肌肥大和心力衰竭的新机制,证明细胞内运输系统在其中发挥重要调控作用;发现心肌细胞内氧气分布的受体决定性,提示心肌缺血干预新靶点;其他贡献包括细胞内运输系统对心律失常发生的影响。先后发表论文120多篇,标志性成果发表在《Science》等刊物上。他的科学发现已经被写进了近50本国外教科书和专著,国际诊疗指南多次引用他的工作,多种遗传性心律失常是依据他的发现而分类。他的科学发现也曾经被评为国际心脏电生理学领域年度突破性进展和中国高等学校十大科技进展等。

曾经获得国家自然科学奖(二等)、教育部自然科学奖(一等)、上海市自然科学奖(一等)和上海市自然科学牡丹奖。他还获得过中国医师奖、卫生部有突出贡献的中青年专家、上海市领军人才、上海市优秀学科带头人、上海市曙光学者、中国青年科技奖、上海市科技精英、上海市劳动模范和全国五一劳动奖章等荣誉或者称号。
