英国医学教育代表团访问同济大学医学院

2026年3月13日，英国驻上海总领事馆生命科学与医疗科技行业韩睿领事（Gary Hunt）率英国医学教育代表团访问同济大学医学院。代表团成员还包括英国商业贸易部中国区教育行业主任苏思、医疗健康总监李静，以及来自诺丁汉大学、布里斯托大学、南安普顿大学、萨塞克斯大学和伦敦大学城市学院圣乔治医学院等五所高校的校院长及医学教育代表。同济大学医学院院长郑加麟、副院长杨文卓、附属同济医院兼医学院副院长申远、副院长成昱、附属上海第四人民医院院长熊利泽、沪西（北）校区管理委员会办公室主任毕婉蓉，以及来自医学院脑与脊髓临床研究中心、感染与免疫研究中心、康复医学院、护理学院的青年骨干教师参会，医学院国际教育与合作办公室主任沈慧霞主持会议。

On March 13, 2026, a high-level UK healthcare education delegation, led by Mr. Gary Hunt, Consul for Life Sciences and Medtec at the British Consulate-General Shanghai, visited the Tongji University School of Medicine (TUSM). The delegation included Ms. Si SU, Director of Education (China), Ms. Jing LI, Director of Healthcare, both from the Department for Business and Trades at the British Consulate-General Shanghai, alongside university leaders and medical education representatives from five esteemed UK higher education institutions: the University of Nottingham, University of Bristol, University of Southampton, University of Sussex, and City St George’s, University of London. Leadership of the TUSM and affiliated hospitals, together with young faculty representatives of the TUSM including School of Rehabilitation Medicine and School of Nursing, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Huixia SHEN, Director of the Office of International Education and Cooperation.

访问期间，代表团参观了沪西校区核心教学与科研区域。在第二教学楼，代表团通过沙盘了解了学院整体布局与发展规划；在心脏病临床研究中心，杨健教授介绍了心脏病国家重点实验室的建设与运行情况；在生物医学工程与纳米科学学院，特聘研究员霍敏锋及成昱副院长分别就催化中心和纳米机器人实验室的科研工作进行了介绍。

The delegation began their visit with a guided tour of key teaching and research facilities on the West Campus of Tongji University, where they were impressed not only by a detailed 3D desktop architectural model showcasing campus layout and hospital affiliation network, but also by the advanced research infrastructure. At the Clinical Research Center for Cardiovascular Diseases, Professor Jian YANG introduced the State Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Diseases. At the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Nanosciences, Distinguished Researcher Minfeng HUO and Vice Dean Yu CHENG introduced the Center for Catalytic Medicine and the Nanorobotics Laboratory, respectively.

交流座谈会上，郑加麟院长对代表团的到访表示欢迎，并详细介绍了学院的发展历程、办学成果及国际交流特色。代表团对中德医学实验班模式颇感兴趣，并询问该模式是否可为中英合作提供借鉴。英方五所高校代表依次介绍了各自院校在医学教育与科研方面的优势，并围绕暑期学校、师生互访、双学位培养等合作方向展开交流。郑加麟院长表示，同济大学医学院拥有成熟的OBE课程体系、优质双语生源及实力不断提升的附属医院资源，为国际化合作提供了良好基础。学院多年来持续引进海外优秀人才，为深化国际合作储备了坚实力量。

During the meeting, Dean and Professor Jialin ZHENG welcomed the delegation with an overview of TUSM’s history and achievements, highlighting the Sino-German Joint Experimental Program, which drew deep interest from the delegation. Representatives from the five UK universities highlighted institutional strengths in medical education and research, and discussed potential cooperation in summer schools, faculty-student exchanges, and dual-degree programs. “The international cooperation is underpinned by a rigorous OBE curriculum, a high-caliber pool of bilingual students, and a continuously enhanced network of affiliated hospitals,” said Prof. ZHENG. “Over the years, the school has remained steadfast in its commitment to recruiting top-tier global talent to drive its internationalization mission.”

郑加麟院长还指出，人工智能正深刻影响教育与医疗领域，其核心在于服务实际需求。双方代表就几个具有合作潜力的方向展开深入探讨：一是老龄化群体健康问题，特别是阿尔茨海默病、帕金森病等神经退行性疾病；二是老年骨科，如骨质疏松和关节退行性病变；三是干细胞治疗，如组织修复与退行性疾病治疗；四是免疫学研究，借鉴新冠疫情防控经验，推动疫苗研发与免疫调节机制探索。

Following Prof. ZHENG’s remarks that the AI’s core value lies in solving real-world problems, both sides explored collaborative research opportunities in aging-related health issues, particularly neurodegenerative diseases; geriatric orthopedics; stem cell therapies; and immunology research informed by COVID-19 experiences.

自由交流环节，双方还就精神心理健康、临床师资互访、本科生临床轮转、脑科学及干细胞科研合作、康复、护理与全科医学等议题交换了意见。脑与脊髓临床研究中心副教授闫宇阳、感染与免疫研究中心副教授贾佳作为英国留学归国的青年教师代表出席本次座谈会，分享了将中英医疗教育体系的观察与思考融入日常教学与科研的心得体会。

Both sides also explored collaboration opportunities in mental health services, clinical faculty exchanges, undergraduate clinical rotations, joint research project, rehabilitation, nursing, and general medicine. Associate Professors Yuyang YAN (Brain Center) and Jia JIA (Immunity Center), both UK-trained, shared how they integrate insights on medical education in China and UK into teaching and research.

韩睿领事指出，尽管国际教育合作面临挑战，但在共同愿景驱动下，双方有望探索出切实可行的合作路径。他提及，今年初英国首相访华期间到访上海，释放出加强中英友好合作的积极信号。本次代表团来访正是对此的积极响应，期待以师生互访、暑期学校等项目为起点，推动中英医学教育科研合作常态化发展。

To conclude the meeting, the Consul Gary Hunt said, “Despite ongoing challenges in international education cooperation, a shared vision will galvanize collective efforts to explore potential pathways for future collaboration.” He referenced the UK Prime Minister’s visit to Shanghai earlier this year as a positive signal for strengthening Sino-UK cooperation. The delegation’s visit represents a proactive effort to build on that momentum, with the expectation that initiatives such as faculty-student exchanges and summer schools will lay the groundwork for sustained collaboration in medical education and research between China and the UK.
