秦楠教授近期的研究工作揭示了空气颗粒物所附着的微生物种类,及其对呼吸道相关疾病等城市公共卫生的影响,相关研究成果发表在《Genome Biology》期刊上。秦教授曾任浙江大学附属第一医院感染性疾病诊治国家重点实验室特聘研究员,博士生导师,期间肝硬化肠道菌群宏基因组研究成果两次发表在《Nature》上,并入选2014年度高校十大科技进展。美国弗吉尼亚理工大学微生物学博士。2008-2011年任华大基因(BGI)微生物基因组部门负责人。秦教授作为项目负责人或主要参与者主持及参加了十余项国家及省部级的科研项目、人才计划项目。2009年至今共发表论文40余篇。曾获评2017年第七批上海市海外高层次人才引进计划专家,2015年盖茨基金会-大挑战青年科学家,2015年第二届树兰医学青年奖。
Professor Nan Qin’s recent research has been published in the journal Genome Biology, which has revealed the types of microorganisms attached to airborne particles and their impact on urban public health such as respiratory-related diseases. Prof. Qin received his Ph.D. from the Department of Biological Sciences, Virginia Tech, US in 2008. Afterwards, he joined BGI in Shenzhen as the director of department of microbial genomics. In 2011, he joined Zhejiang University School of Medicine as a Visiting-Fellow and doctoral supervisor in Collaborative Innovation Center of Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, and his research about metagenomics of gut microbiome in liver cirrhosis has been published in Nature in 2014 and 2015. Prof. Qin has presided over or participated in a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects and talent plan projects. He has more than 40 papers in Nature, Science, PLOS Biology and other top academic journals since 2009. He was recognized as the Shanghai Overseas High-level Talent Program Expert, and one of Grand Challenges 2015-Young Scientists by Ministry of Science and Technology and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and won the 2nd Shulan Medical Youth Award.
