入选上海市公共卫生体系建设三年行动计划学科带头人，上海市青年拔尖人才，上海市卫生系统优秀青年人才，上海交通大学医学院高水平引进学科带头人。
获中华医学会医学教育分会和中国高等教育学会医学教育专业委员会2016年度医学教育研究立项课题获奖项目二等奖，上海医学科技奖三等奖等。
以第一负责人主持纵向课题20项，共计金额680余万元。其中，国家级项目4项，包括2020年度教育部哲学社会科学研究重大课题攻关项目1项（子课题负责人），2018年“重大慢性非传染性疾病防控研究”重点专项1项（子课题负责人），国家自然科学基金面上项目1项，国家自然科学基金委青年项目1项；国际合作项目2项；省部级以上项目14项。
以第一或通讯作者发表SCI论文30篇；以第一或通讯作者发表中文核心45篇。
Prof. Zhaoxin Wang was awarded the titles of “Academic leaders of three-year action plan for the construction of Shanghai public health system”, “Top Young Talents in Shanghai”, “Outstanding young talents of Health system in Shanghai” and “High-level academic leaders introduced by Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine”.
In addition, Prof. Wang has won the honor of the second prize of the Medical education research projects in 2016 awarded by Medical Education Branch of Chinese Medical Association and Medical Education Professional Committee of China Association of Higher Education, the third prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award, and so on.
As the person in charge, Prof. Wang received twenty scientific research grants of more than 6.8 million yuan. There are four national level research projects among them, including one subproject supported by Key Projects of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research, one subproject supported by National Key Research and Development Program of China, one general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Besides, Prof. Wang presided over two international cooperative research projects, and fourteen provincial and ministerial level research projects.
Prof. Wang has published thirty SCI papers and forty-five papers in Chinese core journals of Peking University as the first or the corresponding author.
