Dr. Congrong Wang is Professor and Director of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Shanghai Fourth People’s Hospital, affiliated with Tongji University. Her primary research focuses on: (1) the pathogenic mechanisms of special types (mitochondrial) diabetes; (2) basic and clinical research on stem cell therapy for diabetes; (3) management of tumor-related hyperglycemia; and (4) systematic assessment and precision intervention for complex obesity. Dr. Wang has led 5 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, published over 100 peer-reviewed papers (including in Cell Metabolism and Cell Discovery), and held 3 patents.
