从事肿瘤超声诊断及微创、介入治疗工作近二十年，擅长超声引导下肝癌、肾癌、甲状腺结节、乳房肿块、子宫肌瘤/腺肌症、肺癌、转移性淋巴结等肿瘤的精准微创介入诊疗和热消融治疗，在国内较早开设了独立的超声微创介入门诊和超声介入病房，担任中国医师协会介入医师分会超声介入专委会主任委员，同时担任中国医师协会肿瘤消融治疗技术甲状腺消融专家组组长，牵头制定了国内第一个甲状腺热消融多学科专家共识（2015浙江版和2018全国版）。
近年来，主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、省自然科学基金重大项目、国家卫计委重大专项等多项课题，担任美国德克萨斯大学安德森癌症中心SINF基金项目课题中方第一负责人；近几年以第一作者或通讯作者在国内外专业学术期刊发表医学论文近百篇，其中SCI收录近20篇，主编人卫版医学著作3部，培养研究生十余名。
Dr. Xu has been engaged in diagnostic
ultrasound imaging and interventional therapy for nearly 20 years and much work
has been done on accurate minimally invasive interventional therapy and thermal
ablation for thyroid nodules, breast masses, uterine fibroids/adenomyosis,
liver cancer, kidney cancer, lung cancer, metastatic lymph nodes under the
guidance of ultrasound. He also led the formulation of the Multidisciplinary
Chinese Expert Consensus on Thyroid Thermal Ablation (2015 Zhejiang edition and
2018 national edition).
In
recent years, Dr. Xu has hosted several projects in terms of National Natural
Science Found, Natural Science Fund of Zhejiang Province, National Health and
Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China and the like. He
has been also in charge of the project funded by SINF funding program of the University
of Texas. As the first author or corresponding author, professor Xu has
published hundreds of medical papers in core journals at home and abroad,
including almost 20 papers published by SCI, and he trained nearly 20 postgraduate
students.
