Dr. Chen received a doctoral degree from Tongji University, and was a joint M.D. candidate at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center(UPMC). He leads a program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published, as the first or corresponding author, 5 SCI papers in peer-reviewed journals. He co-edited two monographs on thoracic surgery.
