Qiankun Chen is the tutor of master students of Tongji University, and the deputy chief physician of thoracic surgery of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital affiliated to Tongji University. He is a member of the Trachea Working Group of the Thoracic Surgery Branch of Shanghai Medical Doctor Association, a member of the Cancer Nutrition Support and Treatment Professional Committee of Shanghai Anti Cancer Association, a member of the Thoracic Trauma Working Group of the Thoracic Surgery Branch of Shanghai Medical Doctor Association, and a member of the Surgery Group of the Evidence based Medicine Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.

Qiankun Chen has undertaken one general project of the Shanghai Health Commission and one project of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. He has published more than 10 SCI papers as the first author, communication and co-communication author, including Int J Nanomedicine (IF: 7.033), Trans Lung Cancer Res (IF=4.726), and Mater Chem. Front (IF=6.484), Chin Med J (IF=6.133), etc. He won the 2012 China Medical Science and Technology Award (Second prize), 2015 Shanghai Health System's Highest Honor for Young Talent - Silver Snake Award (Third prize), 2018 Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award (Achievement promotion award) and China Medical Science and Technology Award (Second prize), 2021 the 33rd Shanghai Excellent Invention Selection Competition Gold Award and Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (First prize), etc.
