擅长脊柱韧带骨化病的诊断与外科治疗、颈椎病与颈椎损伤的诊断与外科治疗、上颈椎损伤与畸形的诊断与外科治疗、胸腰椎损伤与疾病的诊断与外科治疗;以颈椎后纵韧带骨化症的手术治疗为特色,发明颈椎前路骨化物整块切除技术(ACOE),有效提高了该疾病的手术疗效和安全性
以第一负责人承担国家“863”计划项目1项、国家自然基金面上项目5项、上海市项目7项,基金总计约600万元;以第一作者或通信作者发表学术论文100余篇,其中SCI论文60余篇,影响因子累计超200分;参编专著18部,主编1部,主译2部,副主编2部,主编、副主编教材各1部。获得省部级以上各类成果奖9项,其中包括国家科技进步二等奖和上海市科技进步一等奖各1项,当选上海市优秀学术带头人、原总后勤部科技新星;获得国家发明专利授权7项,曾获国际发明展览会 “发明创业奖-项目奖”金奖、“日内瓦国际发明奖”金奖。
Dr. Xiongsheng Chen specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of spinal ligament ossification diseases, cervical spondylosis and cervical spine injuries, as well as upper cervical spine injuries and deformities. He is also skilled in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of thoracolumbar injuries and related conditions. With a particular focus on the surgical management of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) in the cervical spine, he pioneered the Anterior Cervical Ossified Mass Excision (ACOE) technique, which significantly improves surgical outcomes and safety for this condition.
As the principal investigator, he has led one National "863" Program project, five National Natural Science Foundation General Program projects, and seven Shanghai municipal projects, with total funding amounting to approximately 6 million RMB. He has authored or co-authored over 100 academic papers as first or corresponding author, including more than 60 SCI-indexed publications with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 200. Additionally, he has contributed to 18 professional books.
He has received nine provincial or ministerial-level awards for scientific achievements, including one National Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Class) and one Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (First Class). He has been recognized as a Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leader and a "Science and Technology Rising Star" by the former General Logistics Department. Holding seven authorized national invention patents, he has also been awarded the Gold Prize at the International Invention Expo and the Gold Medal at the Geneva International Inventions Exhibition.
