Principal Investigator of grants including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Young Scientist Program), Shanghai Pudong New Area Public Health Project, and Open Funding from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, he has been recognized as an Academic Leader by the Shanghai Pudong New Area Health Commission, an Outstanding Young Scholar by Tongji University, and selected for the Oriental Hospital "Rising Sun" Young Talent Development Program. He completed clinical fellowships at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Denver Spine Education and Research Institute, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, USA, and is a recipient of the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) Outstanding Poster Award. With over 40 SCI-indexed publications, his work has appeared in leading journals such as Advanced Science, International Journal of Biological Sciences, Spine, The Spine Journal, European Spine Journal, Tissue Engineering Part A, Advanced Healthcare Materials, Materials Science & Engineering C, Bioscience Reports, and Applied Surface Science.
