目前主持在研包括上海市“浦江人才”计划,上海市科委医学创新研究专项等多项省部级科研课题。曾作为访问学者在美国哈佛大学麻省总医院（2018-2019年）及内布拉斯加医学中心（2016年）开展关节在体生物力学、运动学以及关节慢性不稳的基础与临床研究。先后多次在美国、英国、韩国及香港等关节与运动医学中心学习,师从多位国际关节大师。累计发表中英文专业期刊文章40余篇(SCI 10篇，单篇最高IF 6.53)。获得实用新型专利3项，参与编译专著4部，专家共识1项。长期从事骨科教学，获得医学院“十佳教师”，附属同济医院“优秀教学管理者”“学生心目中的好老师”等荣誉称号。
At present, Dr. Rao is in charge of a number of provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, including the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program and the Medical Innovation Research Project of the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. As a visiting scholar, Dr. Rao has conducted basic and clinical research on biomechanics, kinematics and chronic instability of the joints at Harvard University Massachusetts General Hospital (2018-2019) and Nebraska Medical Center (2016). Dr. Rao studied in joint and sports medicine centers in the United States, Britain, South Korea and Hong Kong as fellow, following international joint masters. Up to date, the applicant has published more than 40 publications in Chinese and English journals (10 SCI, the highest IF 6.53). Dr. Rao obtained 3 practical patents, participated in the compilation of 4 monographs and 1 expert consensus. Dr. Rao has been engaged in orthopaedics teaching for decades and achieved dozens of honorary titles such as "Outstanding Teachers" of Tongji Medical School, "Excellent Teaching Managers" in Tongji Hospital.
