主持国家自然科学基金重大研究计划培育项目一项（2017）；主持面上项目五项；2014年科技部973干细胞重大研究计划项目骨干，2016年科技部干细胞与临床转化重大专项研究PI。在Stem Cells、Biomaterials、FASEB J等杂志发表论文40余篇。

脊柱神经康复是与脊柱外科相匹配的，主要针对脊柱创伤和疾病术后，脊柱畸形或退变性疾病、脊髓损伤等的康复门类和特色服务，构建了独特的“外科与康复一体化”的诊疗模式，形成由脊柱外科医师、康复医师、康复治疗师、康复护士等组成的临床团队，尽早将康复治疗介入并贯穿患者的医疗规程，以实现“全过程康复”, 即减轻创伤应激、保护现存功能、早期康复介入、完善回归社会的目标。

脊柱神经康复团队也具有较强的科研基础，是教育部脊柱脊髓损伤重点实验室的临床康复部。在干细胞研究方面独具特色，将神经调控、再生医学与康复医学结合，并努力实现“精准康复”的目标。

Hosted the Natural and Science Foundation (NSFC) in China Key Research Project (2017)；hosted 5 NSFC Major Projects; Ministry of Science and Technology 973 Stem Cell Major Research Project PI （2014）； Ministry of Science and Technology Stem Cell and Clinical Transformation Major Research PI（2016）. Published more than 40 papers in Stem Cells, Biomaterials, Scientific Reports, etc.

The Spine and Spinal Cord Rehabilitation team (SSR) is an independent division in spine surgery, and serves to treat spine degenerative disorders and spinal trauma. To build a unique therapy model known as "surgery and rehabilitation combination", the SSR team is comprised of spine surgeons, physiatrists (rehabilitation physicians), physical and occupational therapists, rehabilitation nurses and social workers. The aim is to provide intervention and treatments as early as possible through medical procedures to achieve the goal of "whole process rehabilitation” to reduce traumatic stress, maintain the spine or spinal cord function in the early stage, promote the recovery of motor function during post-operation, restore the patients’ ability for independent living, and help the patients to return to society.

The SSR team not only offers multiple clinic rehabilitation services, but also exhibits strong translational research platform in neural repair and stem cell therapy. SSR is also a clinical section of Key Laboratory of spine and spinal cord injury repair and regeneration (Tongji University) of Ministry of Education, China. The team aims to combine neural modulation, regenerative medicine with rehabilitation medicine, and strives to achieve the goal of "precision rehabilitation".
