As
the sea admits hundreds of rivers, we TUSM welcome talents all over the world.
During the Chinese New Year, principal leaders and related teachers of TUSM
formed an overseas recruitment group to hold information sessions on the
Department of Medicine and Life Sciences of Tongji University and academic
exchange meetings in the United States and Canada.
These
information sessions aimed to improve understanding of overseas students on the
Department of Medicine and Life Sciences of Tongji University, help them learn
more about domestic research environment and the latest talent introduction
policy of our school, thus attracting more overseas young talents to Tongji
University.
On
February 11th and 16th, information sessions were held at
the University of Nebraska in America and the University of Toronto in Canada.
Professor Zheng Jialin, Dean of TUSM, introduced the concept of ‘sincerity,
responsibility, insight and aspiration’, and the strategy of translational
medicine. He also emphasized that talents are the great fortune for the
development of TUSM. At the same time, he introduced the internationalization
of education at TUSM and the construction of four clinical centers (brain and
spinal cord, heart, cancer and stem cells), providing first-class environment
for talents. TUSM always wants to attract talents all over the world to build a
top medical school with high-level talent training, medical service, and
scientific research and innovation. A number of young talents from fields like
neurology, oncology, public health, rehabilitation and biomedical engineering
participated in the events.
Professor Zheng Jialin had face-to-face

Sciences and affiliated hospitals of Tongji University respectively at Yale

scholars were all concerned about. The atmosphere was warm and they had further
exchanges and discussions with participants on the talent introduction policy.
Participants had a deeper understanding of the history, current situation and
development planning of TUSM and communicated further on issues like the
establishment of scientific research teams and the treatment of talents after
