11月8日下午，同济-夏里特脑科学论坛暨中德专题线上交流会顺利召开。论坛由我院和德国柏林夏里特医学院共同主办，邀请了各自脑科学研究领域的单位负责人以及PI骨干代表齐聚云端，共话脑与认知科学的前沿进展，共谋“医教研”聚合发展的崭新蓝图，力争早日落实一批中德重点合作项目。
On the afternoon of November 8th, Tongji-Charité Brain Research Symposium, also dedicated to Sino-German Cooperation Matchmaking-Meeting was successfully held online. The symposium, a joint effort of our medical school and Charité-UniversitätsmedizinBerlin, was the place where both sides brought together the heads of the brain research units and PI key representatives to turn the spotlight on the frontier progress in brain and cognitive science, discuss about a new blueprint for the convergence of "clinical service, education and research”, and exchange views on the launch of a number of key Sino-German cooperation initiatives.
论坛总共分为“神经内科”、“神经外科”、“精神与心理”三个主题单元。开场致辞中，我院郑加麟院长首先对线上参与者同心协力给予此次论坛大力支持表示衷心感谢，同时指出，我校为支持医科重建和发展所做出的诸多努力是有目共睹的：学科排位持续攀升；新校区规划建设不遗余力；中德班招生培养正式启动；远观未来，同济医科对人才的渴求、对品牌的期盼、对技术的创新意识等愈发强烈。为增强持续发展动力，学校期冀继续引进海外高水平教育资源，进一步丰富优质资源供给，推动学科建设水平和国际影响力迈上一个新的台阶。
The symposium was framed around three topical themes: "Neurology", "Neurosurgery" and "Psychiatry". At the outset, our Dean Prof. Dr. Jialin Zheng expressed his heartfelt thanks to the online participants for their concerted support to the symposium, and pointed out that with the university’s efforts to facilitate the development of medical discipline, the following school facts were visible and conspicuous: the discipline ranking continues to climb; bit by bit of sweat and toil for the planning and construction of the new campus; the official launch of Sino-German Class of Clinical Medicine; From a forward-looking perspective, Tongji Medicine’s hunger for talents, expectation for the brand, and awareness of innovation in technology continues to grow. The school will aspire for the incorporation of high-level overseas educational resources and the sufficient supply of high-quality resources given that the urgent need for sustainable development renews our commitment and dedication to promoting discipline construction and international influence to a new level.
每一个主题单元由两部分构成，先是单位负责人介绍所在机构的基本情况及发展规划，后由PI骨干代表分享在各自研究方向上取得的主要成果与未来设想。受邀出席 “神经内科”主题单元的有同济附属养志康复医院院长靳令经，夏里特神经内科与实验神经内科主任Prof. Dr. Matthias Endres，运动障碍和神经调节科主任Prof. Dr. Andrea Kühn等；受邀出席 “神经外科” 主题单元的有同济大学附属上海市第四人民医院院长熊利泽，夏里特神经外科诊疗所主任Prof. Dr. Peter Vajkoczy等；受邀出席 “精神与心理” 主题单元的有同济大学附属浦东新区精神卫生中心院长赵旭东，夏里特医学院精神病学和心理治疗科医学主任Andreas Heinz等；12位PI骨干代表带来的学术报告，则是从不同的研究方向和视角出发，涉及用于侦测癫痫发作的AI技术与产品的成果转化，面向运动障碍的新一代植入式神经调控治疗技术和产品的成果转化，蛛网膜下腔出血后的免疫反应研究，烟雾病血管病变的临床表型研究，从脑机接口向脑机神经接口技术的迭代升级研究与应用、使用眼动脱敏和再处理（EMDR）治疗儿童青少年游戏成瘾行为等。本次会谈由柏林夏里特医学院国际合作部主任Lutz Steine、我院国际教育与合作办公室主任沈慧霞担任主持，与会发言的双方专家学者共计20名。
Each topical theme was featured with the facts & figures brought by heads of the brain research units, alongside with the scientific highlights shared by PI key representatives. The invited heads of the brain research units include President of Yangzhi Rehabilitation Hospital Prof. Dr. Lingjing Jin, Medical Director of Department of Neurology with Experimental Neurology Prof. Dr. Matthias Endres and Head of Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation Section Prof. Dr. Andrea kühn; President of Shanghai Fourth People's Hospital Prof. Dr. Lize Xiong, Medical Director of the Department of Neurosurgery Prof. Dr. Peter Vajkoczy; President of Pudong New Area Mental Health Center Prof. Dr. Xudong Zhao, Medical Director of Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Prof. Dr. Andreas Heinz; The academic presentations, on the other hand, demonstrated different research directions and perspectives, e.g. Computational Neurology/Epilepsy Research, Combining machine learning and connectomics for next-generation smart brain implants in movement disorders, Immune reaction after subarachnoid hemorrhage, Clinical and morphological characteristics in Moyamoya vasculopathy, Brain-Computer-Interfaces, Efficacy of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing in adolescents with gaming disorders, etc. The symposium, co-chaired by head of Charité International Cooperation Lutz Steine and our director of International Education and Cooperation Office Susan Shen, had the pleasure of having a total of 20 invited speakers respectively from Charité and Tongji.
论坛临近尾声，德国柏林夏里特医学院院长Prof. Dr. Axel R. Pries做了总结发言，表示从今年4月初达成初步合作意向的线上座谈会到本次顺利召开的脑科学论坛暨中德线上专题推介交流会，都为未来关系稳定发展奠定了坚实基础，具有十分重要的意义。在他看来，能把大家聚到一块儿的，除了高深学术学问的吸引力，更重要的是出于双方寻求互利共赢合作的真诚意愿。在新冠疫情全球化的当下，此次发言交流的每一个研究方向，也是完全有可能开枝散叶，结出硕果；他对合作项目未来落地充满期待，并鼓励参会者珍惜且把握机会，务必在论坛结束之后认真斟酌双方在医学教育、临床科研等领域的合作可能性。
The closing speech of the symposium was made by Dean of Charité-UniversitätsmedizinBerlin Prof. Dr. Axel Radlach Pries.As he noted, the symposium, plus the previous meeting held this April, will help strengthen the underpinnings of a stable relationship as both sides move into the future. From a leadership rather than academic perspective, what brings everyone together is not only the profoundness of academic knowledge, but also the sincere willingness of both sides to seek mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. Even in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide, every link both sides can build is very fruitful. After meeting, both sides will have plenty of time to contemplate what they talked about today. Hopefully the opportunity will be cherished and seized.
