Founded in 1907 and identified as “985 Program” and “Project 211” university sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China, Tongji University is one of the most famous and leading Universities in China located at Shanghai. Up to the coming 110 anniversary, Tongji University will hold the 3rd International Youth Scientists Forum in 2017.

The Sub Forum for Medicine and Life Science of 3rd International Youth Scientists Forum is aiming at gathering overseas youth talents with different disciplines, promoting communications between our faculties and outstanding youth scholars especially in the international forefront field of transforming medical hotspot researches, building a new research platform of interdiscipline and collaborative innovation, declaring national talents plans and constructing a backup of reserve personnel.

Tongji University School of Medicine and the School of Life Science and Technology pursue cutting-edge biomedical and translational researches focusing on stem cells and regenerative medicine, immunology, epigenetics and bioinformatics, bioengineering, tumor biology, development and clinical researches. Under the strong supports from Chinese central government, Shanghai municipality and Tongji University, both schools are now recruiting young talents worldwide and co-sponsor the 2nd International Young Scientists Forum.

As an eligible candidate for faculty or forum attendee, you should have

• PhD degree and more than 2 years overseas scientific research working experience
• High-profiled publications as leading or corresponding author
• ≤ 40-years old is required.

Qualifications: Candidates shall have a doctorate, strong development potential, innovative conceptions and strategic thoughts on relevant discipline construction, the ability to maintain and surpass international advanced level in the frontiers of relevant discipline, as well as a strong sense of responsibility. Priority will be given to any applicant who obtains a formal teaching position in a foreign university or institute.

If you are approved, you will receive a formal invitation letter before December 17, 2017.

About Travel and Housing Expense

Each invited attendee can reimburse travelling expense up to 10,000 RMB by hosts, including domestic economic-class flight and international economic-class flight. Housing and catering expense will also be charged by hosts.
